Getting to know me...
I am originally from a small town in Western, New York- called Fillmore. I attended Fillmore Central School (a pre-K through 12th grade school, in one building!) for thirteen years. I then moved on to attend St. Bonaventure University, where I majored in Elementary and Special Education. I graduated Suma Cum Laude, and first in the School of Education. This is one of my proudest accomplishments! I also received my Master's degree in Childhood Literacy, from St. Bonaventure University, and my Academic and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) certification from the University of North Carolina. In August 2015, I completed my degree in School Administration.
Before relocating to Huntersville, North Carolina, I was a first grade teacher in Olean, New York. Beginning in 2008, I taught third grade at Cornelius, and continued this until 2012. This is my fourth year serving as the Talent Development teacher and Math Facilitator at Cornelius. My hobbies include "Training for Warriors" (TFW Program), running, and spending time with family and friends. My husband and I also enjoy spending time at the White Water Center. On September 25, 2015- I married my best friend!
My new name is Mrs. Moore.
I am committed to the success of each and every child at Cornelius, and strive to bring forth both personal growth and excellence.
I am looking forward to great 2015-2016 school year!
